A Slovak region narrows a round down to a valley or a stretch of the Carpathians, and the district is the tier that names a town. There are 79 of them, from the single-town districts of Bratislava and Košice to the wide rural ones of the north east, and the district is what a car's number plate starts with.
The okresy. Most are named for their main town, which is how a plate starts with TN for Trenčín or PO for Prešov. Two cities are cut into numbered districts instead: Bratislava into five and Košice into four. Košice-okolie is the district of the countryside around Košice, and a separate answer.
The numbered city districts are the smallest shapes on the map, and at the scale of the whole country they are hard to tap. The ones that would be unreachable have a tap area widened beyond their outline; zoom in for the rest.
The groups are the regions, so the game lets you drill them one at a time. Banská Bystrica and Prešov have the most districts, 13 each, and Trnava and Nitra the fewest, seven each, after Bratislava's eight. Each region answers under the same name in Slovakia Regions.
Bratislava V is Petržalka, the high-rise district on the south bank of the Danube, and it is the part of the capital that reaches the Austrian and Hungarian borders. It is the only one of the five that lies across the river.
Košice is cut into four numbered districts, and they are the small shapes in the middle of Košice-okolie, which wraps all of them. Each answers under its own name.
Poprad is the gateway to the High Tatras, the highest range in the Carpathians, and the district takes in the foot of the mountains up to the Polish border.
