Kenya straddles the equator from the Indian Ocean coast to Lake Victoria, with the Rift Valley splitting the green highlands in the south west from the dry plains of the north and east, and since 2013 a county's name has been on every clinic, market and boundary sign you pass. These two quizzes cut the same map two ways: the 47 counties to learn first, and the 290 constituencies beneath them for when the counties stop being a challenge. The constituencies are the tier Kenyans vote in, from seventeen packed into Nairobi to the three that fill Laikipia, and they are grouped by the eight old provinces, the same groups the counties use, so what you learn on one carries to the other.
