Syria is a country of two halves: a green strip of coast, mountains and towns in the west, where the cities of Damascus, Homs, Hama and Aleppo sit in a line, and a dry steppe east of it that runs out along the Euphrates to the Iraqi border. These two quizzes cut the same map two ways: the 14 governorates to learn first, and the 62 districts beneath them for when the governorates stop being a challenge. The districts are grouped by governorate, so what you learn on one carries to the other.
