Uzbekistan is a doubly landlocked country, and most of its people live in a thin band of oases along the mountains in the south and east, with the Kyzylkum desert and the dried bed of the Aral Sea filling the north west. A round there is mostly a question of which oasis you are in: the Fergana Valley in the east, the Zarafshan towns of Samarkand and Bukhara, the capital in the north east, or the empty west. These two quizzes cut the same map two ways: the 14 regions to learn first, and the 199 districts beneath them for when the regions stop being a challenge. The regions are grouped into five parts and the districts by region, so what you learn on one carries to the other.
