North Korea fills the northern half of the Korean peninsula, and its map is a mountain spine with the people on the coasts: the Hamgyong provinces and Ryanggang in the rugged north east, the Pyongan and Hwanghae plains in the west round the capital Pyongyang, and Kangwon on the east coast against the border with the South. These two quizzes cut the same map two ways: the 9 provinces and 4 directly governed cities to learn first, and the 179 counties the boundary file draws beneath them for when that stops being difficult. The provinces are grouped into the north west, north east and south, and the counties by province, so what you learn on one carries to the other. There is no street-level coverage to train on here, so these are map quizzes on their own terms.
